In the greatest city in the world, find the safest walking paths to get to your destination. By using crime data from 2016-2017 in Manhattan, Safewalk examines every possible path and selects four for you to choose based on distance and safety values.
Safewalks goal is to make every user feel more comfortable walking along unfamiliar streets. As a user, you can submit ratings of locations and paths, and add comments and pictures to improve future users experiences.
Please note for the first version of this app, only Manhattan blocks are analyzed. Stay tuned for updates – full city data coming soon!
